What are the goals of LEAP pilot projects?
These projects help instill entrepreneurial attitudes, personal supports, and employability skills among individuals in various selected demographic groups. Participants in three provinces (Ontario, Quebec, and New Brunswick) are increasing their ability to create self-employment opportunities or to find and retain work that furthers their own life goals.
Who do the projects help?
The projects target three demographic groups in rural and remote Canadian communities – women, youth (18-30), and older displaced workers.

Where Do the Anglos Work?
an Asset Map of Employability and Entrepreneurial Development Resources
'Where Do Quebec's Anglos Work?' is part of an Asset Map of Employability & Entrepreneurial Development Resources for English-speaking communities that identifies and cross-references employability and entrepreneurial development within Quebec’s English-speaking population – a population that includes a high number of immigrants and aboriginal people, as well as old-stock Anglophones.
As a minority, English-speakers in Quebec are often subject to prevailing mythologies and, in many regions, benign neglect as a culturally-distinct entity – the more so for the perception of them as somehow still remaining in a privileged position compared to the francophone majority after 50 years of change in the province. The LEAP report provides a statistical portrait of ‘where Anglos work’ in Quebec, and what levels of education they have achieved. It is intended as a vehicle for knowledge sharing and exchange, as well as the starting point for collaborative activities that respond to service gaps while avoiding duplication.
